This series of six 10-to-12-minute modules introduces you to the key elements of personal safety and conflict de-escalation for today’s workplace. Each module covers a key learning area and sets tasks for you to complete with an experienced colleague or supervisor.
People who experience frequent conflict or significant personal safety issues should pursue additional personal development options.
Total Risks Coaching and Facilitation team is a group of very experienced men and women who have years of front-line experience in de-escalating conflict, mediation and resolving issues. Their collective work history includes thousands of home visits, working in call centres, mentoring, mediation, complaints resolution, security, and enforcement.
Many of the team also have significant management experience in all these areas and in designing and delivering development programs for all facets of work.
Clients can select a coach who they feel would best suit the unique dynamic of their workplace and people.

Total Risks suite of advanced programs are tailored specifically to your organisation and people. Development of advanced programmes may include focus groups and a training needs review. This is particularly important where the conflict and risk profile of work groups is significantly different.
The coaching and facilitation team is also active in other areas of our business and may also be engaged in other work streams from visiting homes, the desk-based investigation call centre or security management consulting. Personal safety is an issue for many of our clients who choose Total Risk because of our extensive front line experience.
The company has a national network of field advisors and has visited tens of thousands of homes since 2006 where communication has broken down, there are previous personal safety issues or concerns.
This means Total Risk is constantly in touch with real world incidents and the evolution of issues as has occurred since 2020.
Our programs work – they are based on real world Aotearoa/New Zealand experience – not just some ideas that we have accumulated from other people or are imported from countries that don’t understand the uniqueness of our community.
